PocketLocator

PocketLocator is a mobile app that helps users track the location of their valuables in real-time using Bluetooth technology. The app pairs with Bluetooth tags that can be attached to keys, wallets, bags, etc. to provide location updates when in range.

What is PocketLocator?

PocketLocator is a mobile application designed to help users keep track of their personal belongings in real-time using Bluetooth tracking technology. The app works seamlessly with PocketLocator's Bluetooth tags that can be attached to everyday items like keys, wallets, purses, backpacks, luggage, bikes, etc.

Once the app is downloaded and the tags are paired to a user's account, PocketLocator utilizes Bluetooth proximity to provide location updates on paired tags. For example, if a user attaches a tag to their keys and then misplaces them at home, they can open the PocketLocator app to see the tag's last updated location on a map and use this to recover their lost keys. The app even has functionality to make the paired tag play an audible alert.

Some key features that make PocketLocator a versatile Bluetooth tracker include:

  • Real-time location updates displayed on an interactive map
  • Ability to locate items even when offline using last updated location
  • Audible alerts to help users pinpoint tagged belongings
  • Custom virtual fences to provide alerts when items move out of set boundaries
  • Third-party integration with IFTTT for smart home automation

With practical innovations like two-way finding and a crowd GPS network to extend its finding range, PocketLocator aims to provide users with more control, security, and peace of mind through location tracking technology.
