What is Proloquo2Go?

Proloquo2Go is an award-winning augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) solution for people who have difficulty speaking or cannot speak at all. It was created by AssistiveWare and is available as an app for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch devices.

Proloquo2Go provides a voice for people with autism, cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, intellectual disabilities, traumatic brain injury, stroke, or other conditions. It uses text-to-speech technology with natural sounding voices to give people the ability to communicate their needs, thoughts, feelings, and more.

The app features over 14,000 symbols and images from the SymbolStix Symbols Collection as well as photos. Users can tap these symbols and images to build sentences and have them spoken out loud. The vocabulary is fully customizable to each person's needs and organized into easy-to-navigate categories.
