What is ReVanced Extended?
ReVanced Extended is a modded version of the YouTube app for Android that blocks video ads, allows background and picture-in-picture playback, enables seeking through videos frame-by-frame, and provides various customization options such as choosing video quality defaults and tweaking the interface.
It is based on the original Vanced YouTube client but includes extra functionality on top of what Vanced offered. Some key features of ReVanced Extended include:
- No video or banner ads
- Background audio playback
- Picture-in-picture support
- Seeking through frames
- Overriding default video quality preferences
- Extra UI/UX tweaks and personalization
ReVanced Extended requires manually patching a local copy of the official YouTube app APK. Instructions are provided for both Linux and Windows users. It offers the benefits of an ad-free and highly customizable YouTube experience similar to Vanced with some extra useful additions.
