Open source, unbiased search engine aggregating results from 70+ services while respecting user privacy and providing uncensored search results.
SearXNG is an open source, privacy-respecting metasearch engine that aggregates results from over 70 search services without tracking users. It was forked from Searx in 2018 with the goal of providing unbiased and uncensored search results.
As a metasearch engine, SearXNG sends search queries to multiple underlying search engines like Google, Bing, Yahoo, DuckDuckGo, and others. It then aggregates and displays the results from those services in a unified interface. This allows users to get results from multiple search engines without having to visit each one individually.
SearXNG does not collect or share any personal user data. It routes all searches through its servers to prevent the underlying search engines from identifying users. This provides increased privacy protection and avoids search engine filter bubbles that limit access to information.
In addition to web search results, SearXNG supports searching images, videos, music, files, news and scientific articles. It can be self-hosted for additional privacy. SearXNG focuses on providing objective, unfiltered search results to users and avoiding censorship of information.
