What is STAAD.Pro?
STAAD.Pro is a comprehensive structural analysis and design software application developed by Research Engineers International, now owned by Bentley Systems. It has over 30 years of development behind it and is considered one of the most widely used structural analysis and design software globally.
STAAD.Pro enables structural engineers to perform key tasks like analysis, design, detailing and documentation for virtually any type of structure including: buildings, plants and facilities, tower and telecommunication structures, transportation infrastructure like bridges, interchange, highways etc., industrial structures like pipe racks, steel, concrete tanks etc., and utility structures.
It supports over 90 international steel, concrete and timber design codes. Advanced analysis engines like finite element analysis, dynamic analysis, pushover analysis etc allow the software to handle complex modeling and analysis needs.
Key features include: graphical user interface for model generation and visualization of analysis/design results, interoperability with applications like RAM, OpenRoads, AutoCAD etc., delivery of comprehensive design reports, fabrication drawings, BOMs etc., solutions for aerodynamic and seismic analysis, analysis of harmonic and wind loading, analysis and design of steel and concrete structures, analysis and design as per international codes.
