Zebra Utilities
Zebra Utilities: Barcode Printing & Label Design Software
A suite of software tools for barcode printing, label design, and control of Zebra barcode printers, making it easy to create labels and print barcodes to Zebra label printers.
What is Zebra Utilities?
Zebra Utilities is a software bundle included with Zebra barcode printers and designed specifically for their label printing hardware. It consists of several modules for different functions:
- Barcode Label Design - Wizard-driven tool to easily create barcode label designs with text, images, and flexible layout options.
- Barcode Printing- Print labels with barcodes directly to Zebra printers. Supports all common 1D and 2D barcode symbologies.
- Printer Configuration - Configure settings on Zebra barcode label printers including connectivity, calibration, firmware updates and more.
- Font Management - Manage, install, and remove fonts on Zebra printers.
An advantage of Zebra Utilities is tight integration and optimization for Zebra hardware. Simple wizard interfaces make label design and printing accessible for beginners. More advanced designers have access to powerful tools as well. As an official Zebra software suite, it ensures full compatibility with Zebra printers.
A downside is Zebra Utilities only works with Zebra brand printers. There is no support for other printer models. Paid software like BarTender provide similar label design tools with wider device compatibility.
