Discover the iconic detective game where players unravel a web of clues to uncover the truth behind a murder, with Cluedo, a timeless classic on Sugggest
Cluedo is a classic board game for 3-6 players that was first published in 1949. The game takes place in a Victorian mansion where a murder has been committed. One player is randomly chosen to be the murderer, and the other players are investigators trying to solve the crime.
At the start of the game, the mansion board is set up with character, weapon, and room tokens placed in the different rooms. Each investigator player gets a notepad to keep track of clues. On a turn, a player rolls dice and moves to a new room, where they can make a suggestion to guess the murderer, weapon and room of the crime. The player to their left checks their cards and will show the suggesting player any cards they hold that match the suggestion. This provides a new clue. Play continues around the board.
As players travel the mansion collecting clues from suggestions, they eliminate possible suspects, weapons and rooms from consideration by process of elimination. Eventually a player will have enough clues to make an accusation against who they think committed the murder. If correct, they win! If incorrect, they lose and are out of the game while play continues.
With deduction skills, clever suggestions and luck from the dice rolls, players race to solve the mystery first. Cluedo is an entertaining game of mystery and intrigue for groups that has remained popular since its release over 70 years ago.
