CSPromod: Custom Addon for Counter-Strike

CSPromod is a custom addon for the Counter-Strike video game series that modifies gameplay features and graphics. It aims to enhance and balance Counter-Strike gameplay while keeping the original spirit.

What is CSPromod?

CSPromod is a custom multiplayer modification for the Counter-Strike video game series on PC. It started as a community project by professional and amateur developers to enhance gameplay features and graphics of Counter-Strike while keeping the core game spirit intact.

Some key features of CSPromod include wider selection of maps, improved physics, new textures and player models, and rebalanced gameplay mechanics. It aims to promote team-oriented tactical play and increase the skill ceiling for competitive Counter-Strike.

The modification runs as an addon and requires a licensed copy of Counter-Strike 1.6 as base game to work. It has been in open beta development for over 10 years with frequent updates. While popular in niche Counter-Strike circles, CSPromod has not achieved widespread popularity comparable to other mods like Counter-Strike: Condition Zero.
