What is Datto Autotask?

Datto Autotask is an all-in-one IT business management platform designed specifically for managed service providers (MSPs). It combines professional services automation (PSA), remote monitoring and management (RMM), and backup and disaster recovery (BDR) into a single integrated suite.

As a PSA solution, Autotask helps MSPs better manage and grow their businesses with features like customer relationship management, service ticketing, resource scheduling, project management, billing and invoicing, and more. It provides a centralized view of an MSP's entire client base and service delivery operations.

The RMM capabilities allow MSPs to remotely monitor, manage, and maintain all of their client's IT infrastructure including servers, desktops, laptops, network devices, and more from a centralized web-based dashboard. Key features include patch management, antivirus updates, performance monitoring, disk cleanup, remote control, and automated alerts.

Finally, the built-in BDR provides data protection through automated backups with features like backup copy, instant virtualization for recovery in case of outages, storage snapshots for quick restores, and support for both on-prem and cloud (hosted) backup targets. Together with PSA and RMM, this allows MSPs to deliver complete IT servicing and protection for their clients.
