What is Deserter : Curse of the fallen knight?

Deserter: Curse of the fallen knight is a 2D side-scrolling action platformer with RPG elements, developed by Polish indie studio Madmind Studio. Set in a gritty, dark fantasy world, the game puts you in the shoes of Aiden, once a respected Holy Knight who has fallen from grace and been branded a deserter.

As Aiden, you must battle your way through hordes of twisted creatures and undead abominations as you seek to undo your curse and redeem yourself. The combat is fast-paced and challenging, with many different enemy types that require quick reflexes and smart tactics to overcome. You have access to a variety of melee weapons like swords, axes and spears, as well as attack magic and skills to augment your fighting abilities.

In addition to combat, Deserter features environmental puzzles and obstacles that must be traversed using Aiden's parkour moves like wall running, jumping, climbing and sliding. The levels feature dark, atmospheric pixel art environments like decrepit castles, haunted forests and unholy crypts for you to explore.

As an RPG, the game has a leveling system where you earn experience points to upgrade your stats and unlock new combat abilities to create your own unique fighting style. There is also a karma system where your actions affect Aiden's standing, altering the story and ending.

With its fast-paced soulslike combat, dark fantasy setting and platforming challenges, Deserter aims to provide an intense, skill-based 2D action experience inspired by classic games like Castlevania and Prince of Persia.
