What is H1Z1?
H1Z1 is an online multiplayer battle royale shooter video game developed and published by Daybreak Game Company. Originally released in Early Access in 2015, H1Z1 focuses on fast-paced, competitive survival gameplay across a large open world map.
At the start of each match, up to 150 players parachute onto a map over 1000 square kilometers in size. Players must quickly scavenge weapons, ammo, vehicles, and other equipment from buildings and terrain across the map. Over the course of the match, a deadly toxic gas cloud encloses the play area, forcing surviving players into tense close-quarters battles. The last player left alive at the end wins the match.
H1Z1 stands out for its fast gameplay, detailed graphics, and variety of weapons and vehicles. An average match lasts around 20 minutes. Since its release, H1Z1 has developed a dedicated esports following, with professional leagues forming around the game.
