What is Apex Legends?
Apex Legends is a free-to-play battle royale game developed by Respawn Entertainment and published by Electronic Arts. It was released in February 2019 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.
In Apex Legends, 20 teams of 3 players compete to be the last squad standing in the match. Players select from a roster of unique characters called Legends, each with their own set of special abilities that give teams unique strategies and playstyles. Legends have both passive abilities that are always active and tactical/ultimate abilities with cooldowns.
Set in the Titanfall universe, Apex Legends takes place 30 years after the events of Titanfall 2. It features fluid movement and verticality through the use of jumpjets, ziplines and more. An innovative ping communication system allows for clear communication and strategy between teammates.
Since launch, Apex Legends has been praised for taking the battle royale genre to new heights in terms of team-based strategy and innovation. New Legends, weapons, map updates and more have been added through seasonal updates, keeping the game feeling fresh.
