What is Alien Fighter Boy?

Alien Fighter Boy is a fast-paced 2D arcade-style action game set in a small town suddenly under siege from an alien invasion. You play as Billy, a resourceful young boy who takes it upon himself to defend his home from the extraterrestrial threat using an arsenal of homemade weapons and gadgets he puts together from items scattered around town.

The core gameplay focuses on twin-stick shooter mechanics - moving with one stick and aiming/shooting with the other. As Billy, you must blast away at the aliens before they abduct your family and neighbors. The aliens come in various shapes and sizes, some with protective shields that must be taken down first. Others fire projectiles forcing you to dodge. A few aliens even try to divebomb straight into you for big damage if they aren't taken out fast enough.

To fight back, you collect scrap around town to build makeshift gadgets and weapons to add to your arsenal. Blast aliens with a homemade laser blaster, lob explosives at UFOs with a grenade launcher, spray alien hive clusters with a poisonous goo gun, torch aliens with a flamethrower, and more. Over a dozen weapons and gadgets can be found or built. You can carry two at a time and switch between them as needed.

Billy must defeat escalating waves of aliens across over 30 fast-paced levels set throughout the town, from the main street to the schoolyard to factories to parks to the suburbs as the invasion spreads. Some levels have environmental hazards to avoid as well like vehicles or alien acid pools. Bosses also appear from powerful warships trying to wipe you out from the skies with heavy weaponry.

Along with the main story-driven invasion, the game includes an endless Survival mode with online leaderboards allowing you and your friends to see who can defeat endless hordes of aliens for the longest time using your arsenal of clever and chaotic weapons.

Alien Fighter Boy offers accessible pick-up-and-play twin-stick shooter gameplay for all ages along with fun weapons, frantic arcade action against dozens of unique alien types, colorful and cartoony graphics with retro charm, upbeat music tracks to blast aliens to, and humorous references and characters poking fun at sci-fi tropes.
