What is Desperate Gods?

Desperate Gods is a 2D action platformer rogue-lite where you play as a fallen god. Once an powerful deity, you have been stripped of most of your powers and cast down to the mortal plane. You must battle your way through hordes of enemies and defeat the very gods that exiled you in order to reclaim your former glory.

The game features punishing, skill-based combat focused on timing, combos and learning enemy patterns. You have access to both melee weapons like swords and spears as well as ranged magic attacks. Each failed attempt allows you to unlock permanent upgrades and bonuses to make you stronger for your next run.

The highlight of Desperate Gods are the massive, multi-phase boss battles against the very gods you are trying to dethrone. These clashes test all your abilities and serve as major milestones in your quest for vengeance.
