What is Farmerama?

Farmerama is a free-to-play, browser-based farming simulation game developed and published by Bigpoint Games. In Farmerama, players manage their own virtual farm by planting, growing and harvesting various crops, fruit trees and livestock.

The main goal of the game is to continuously expand and optimize your farm in order to maximize your profits. Players start out with an empty piece of land and some starting capital to invest in seeds, saplings and animals. Over time, players can purchase additional land plots and agriculture buildings and machines to increase and automate production.

A key aspect of Farmerama is the crop production cycle and supply chain. Players must carefully plan what crops to plant, when to plant and harvest them, and how to store or process the harvest. For example, fresh crops can be sold right away, turned into products like jam or juice at production buildings, or stored in silos to be sold later when market prices are more favorable.

As the farm expands, players must balance various aspects like crop rotations, animal care and feed schedules, production chains, market prices and transportation logistics. The gameplay puts the focus on efficiently setting up processes, leaving players to monitor and tweaking production rather than performing every single task manually.

Additional features include customization of farm buildings and decorations, quests and achievements, limited-time events and festivals, cooperative gameplay elements and the ability to visit friends' farms. While the core gameplay is free, premium currency can be purchased to speed up progress or gain access to exclusive items.
