A social game where players provide fake answers to obscure questions, supporting 2-8 players locally or online, with a focus on humor and creativity over trivia knowledge.
Fibbage is a popular party trivia game developed and published by Jackbox Games as part of The Jackbox Party Pack franchise. It is designed for 2-8 players to play together locally or online.
In Fibbage, each round begins with an obscure question that very few people would actually know the real answer to, such as "During WWI, American soldiers were briefly trained to fight on these animals instead of horses." One player knows the actual correct answer, while the other players make up silly, witty, or convincing fake answers. All of the fake answers get shuffled in with the real one and every player selects which one they think is correct.
Points are awarded based on voting. Players earn points for each person that chooses their fake answer. If a player guesses the correct answer, they also get points. There is strategy in trying to craft plausible but incorrect alternatives that could trick your friends. Creativity is also rewarded.
The concept behind Fibbage relies less on pure trivia knowledge and more on humor, wit, creativity, and the ability to know your audience. Many of the player-created answers lead to contagious laughter among a group of friends. Fibbage packs a lot of entertainment potential into a simple premise and it has become one of the most popular games in its series.
