What is Fog of World?

Fog of World is an app that transforms your favorite maps into interactive explorable worlds. It works by covering the map in a fog that gets uncovered as you virtually travel across it. This creates an immersive exploration experience as you gradually reveal more and more of the world.

With Fog of World, you can take any map, whether it's a fantasy realm, real world location, video game level, or something created from your own imagination, and bring it to life on your device. The app supports pinch to zoom, panning, and scrolling to navigate the map.

As you tap or drag across the fogged out areas, it clears away to reveal the details underneath. This creates a rewarding sense of discovery and accomplishment every time more of the map is uncovered. You can enable a trail feature that tracks everywhere you've already uncovered.

In addition to the fog effect, Fog of World provides extensive customization and worldbuilding tools. You can annotate the maps with location markers, lines, roads, labels, photos, character tokens, and more. Build up histories and stories around the places on your map to make it feel like a real living world.

Finally, you can easily share and collaborate on map projects with others. Export and import worlds through Fog of World's custom file type. Or share invitation links that let other people join your world and explore it together with simultaneous fog uncovering and worldbuilding.
