What is JustBeamIt?
JustBeamIt is a free web-based file transfer service that allows users to securely send files and folders up to 1GB in size without requiring account registration. It was created in 2021 by a French developer as an alternative to services like WeTransfer and Dropbox for one-off file transfers.
JustBeamIt uses WebRTC peer-to-peer technology to transfer files directly between devices, allowing for fast transfer speeds. This removes the need for files to first upload to JustBeamIt's servers before being downloaded by the recipient. As soon as the sender selects the files and generates a link, the recipient can immediately start downloading them through their web browser.
