Mathmatiz: Open-Source Math Software & Graphing Calculator

Mathmatiz is an open-source math software and graphing calculator for students and teachers. It provides tools for calculations, graphing functions, creating geometric constructions, 3D graphing, and has math tools for algebra, calculus, trigonometry, and statistics.

What is Mathmatiz?

Mathmatiz is a free and open-source software designed for mathematics education. It includes features found in general graphing calculators as well as specialized mathematical tools.

Mathmatiz allows students to visualize mathematical concepts through 2D and 3D graphing. It can graph a wide variety of functions and equations. The graphs can be customized with different line styles, colors, axes ranges, etc. Mathematical constructions like tangent lines, function derivatives and integrals can also be visualized.

Beyond graphing capabilities, Mathmatiz has calculation, algebra, calculus, statistics and geometry tools. It can do symbolic and numerical calculations. Algebra tools include a built-in computer algebra system that can factor expressions, expand polynomials, combine expressions and solve equations. The calculus tools allow finding limits, derivatives and integrals numerically or symbolically. Statistics features cover probability distributions, hypothesis tests and linear regression modeling. Geometry tools provide constructions of various geometric figures like triangles, circles, polygons, etc.

As an open-source project, Mathmatiz is free for anyone to download and use. It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux operating systems. The software is localized into multiple languages. An online community forum provides discussion, collaboration and support around Mathmatiz.
