PCSX-Reloaded: Open-Source PS1 Emulator

Play PS1 games on Windows, Linux & macOS with PCSX-Reloaded, an open-source emulator emulating PlayStation hardware and system software.

What is PCSX-Reloaded?

PCSX-Reloaded is an open-source PlayStation 1 emulator that allows you to play original PS1 games on your Windows, Linux or macOS computer. It emulates the PlayStation 1 hardware, including the CPU, GPU, sound processor, CD-ROM drive, memory cards and controllers, to provide a highly accurate recreation of the PS1 gaming experience on a desktop computer.

As an emulator, PCSX-Reloaded does not include any PlayStation games itself. You will need to provide your own legitimate PS1 game discs or disc images to use with the program. It offers features like save states, texture filtering, internal resolutions up to 8K and plugins to enhance graphics, gameplay recording and other functionality.

PCSX-Reloaded is under active development by the PCSX-Reloaded team and community. It focuses on high compatibility across the PS1 library, good performance even on low-powered hardware, and adding enhancements through plugins while preserving accuracy. The project started in 2002 based on the PCSX emulator and has seen continued improvement over the past two decades.

If you enjoy classic PlayStation games, PCSX-Reloaded is an excellent option for playing them again on modern computers. Its open-source nature provides transparency, and contributions from developers ensure compatibility and new features continue to progress.
