What is Runes of Camelot?

Runes of Camelot is a casual fantasy match-3 puzzle video game released in 2019. Players take on the role of the wizard Merlin who must use his magical abilities to defend Camelot from an onslaught of mythical beasts and supernatural threats.

The core gameplay revolves around matching groups of three or more runes on a tile grid. By creating matches the player charges up Merlin's powers which can then be unleashed as area-of-effect spells to damage enemies, heal allies, or alter the battlefield. Defeating all enemies in a level allows Merlin to seal the mystical portals from which the threats emerge.
