What is Space Colony?

Space Colony is a space simulation and colony management game developed by Firefly Studios. Players take control of building and managing their own space station, maintaining the needs and happiness of the colonists who live there.

A key part of Space Colony is gathering resources through mining asteroids, trading with alien races, and setting up production buildings. Resources such as food, oxygen, power, and minerals must be balanced to keep the colonists alive and working productively.

Colonists have needs like hunger, sleep, fun, and comfort that players need to satisfy by building the appropriate facilities. The colonist's overall happiness affects their productivity and birth rates.

While managing resources and colonists, players also direct expeditions to explore nearby solar systems, encounter mysterious artifacts and alien lifeforms, extract valuable materials from planets and moons, and interact or battle with other space-faring civilizations.

The main goal is developing a self-sustaining colony that can thrive, expand, and explore the mysteries of space through large, sandbox environments and diverse scenarios.
