What is Stinkoman 20X6?
Stinkoman 20X6 is a side-scrolling platform video game created in 2005 by The Brothers Chaps for their Homestar Runner website. It parodies 1980s style arcade video games and anime series.
The player guides the character Stinkoman through various levels, defeating enemies by jumping on them or shooting them with his mega buster arm cannon. Boss enemies appear on later levels that require special strategies to defeat.
Powerups can be collected to increase Stinkoman's speed and shooting power. There are also 1-up icons that give the player an extra life. Cores can be collected to unlock new challenging levels.
The pixel art style, chiptune music, and absurd enemy designs poke fun at games from the 8-bit and 16-bit eras. Popular references include Mega Man, Metroid, Contra, and anime mecha robots.
