What is Alternote?

Users can create rich text notes that support formatting options like bold, italics, highlights, bullets, and hyperlinks. Notes can be tagged and searched for later retrieval. There is an integrated web clipper for saving web content to Alternote.
Alternote provides cloud sync to keep notes updated across multiple devices, like phones, tablets, and computers. Data is encrypted for security. Users can import their existing Evernote notebooks and notes into Alternote.
As an open-source software, Alternote places emphasis on privacy and community-driven development. It is seen as a more ethical alternative for those concerned about Evernote’s business practices. However, Alternote has a smaller user base and less third-party integration compared to Evernote.
