Deadly Dungeons is an indie fantasy action RPG released in 2022 for PC. The game falls into the dungeon crawler and roguelike genres, with a heavy focus on exploring dangerous randomly generated dungeons filled with monsters and loot.

In Deadly Dungeons, you create a character and venture into the ever-changing depths of various dungeons. Combat and movement work on a turn-based grid system, challenging you to use strategy to survive against the many beasts down below. The dungeons contain random items, gold, lore, quests, traps, and powerful bosses.

As an RPG, your character levels up through gaining combat experience. You unlock new abilities and improve your skills in melee combat, ranged weapons, and magic. Finding rare loot in chests or taken from fallen enemies also helps boost your power. Gold can be used at safe campsites between dungeon levels to acquire potions and equipment.

The roguelike elements mean every dungeon dive features new layouts, items, and enemies. Death results in losing your character and all their items permanently, so you’ll need to start a new adventure from scratch. However, as you play you’ll unlock permanent upgrades for future characters that enhance replayability.
