What is Find My?
Find My is an app and service developed by Apple to help users locate lost Apple devices. It comes preinstalled on iPhones, iPads, iPod Touch devices, and Mac computers. The Find My app uses location services to show the device's last known location on a map, and allows users to play sounds, lock devices remotely, or erase data from lost devices.
To use Find My, users sign in with their Apple ID and enable Find My iPhone/iPad or Find My Mac on their devices. This links the device to the user's iCloud account. If the device goes missing, users can open Find My on another Apple device or use the iCloud website to locate the missing device on a map, and take actions to secure the device.
