Kingdom Come: Deliverance is an immersive open world action role-playing game set in 1403 in the medieval Kingdom of Bohemia, during a war for the crown. You play as Henry, a blacksmith's son who gets swept up into a civil war after his city is attacked by an army led by King Sigismund. After Henry's parents are killed in the attack, he decides to get revenge by joining a resistance faction led by Lord Radzig Kobyla.
The game is played from a first-person perspective and focuses heavily on providing an realistic simulation of medieval life. The combat system is based around directional sword fighting, with different moves like stabs, slashes, parries, ripostes, and more. You also engage in other activities like gambling, drinking, hunting, alchemy, and lockpicking. There is no magic system or fantasy elements - the game focuses on grounding the player in the historical realism of medieval Eastern Europe.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance was developed by Czech studio Warhorse Studios and published by Deep Silver in 2018.
