What is Mekorama?
Mekorama is a popular free 3D puzzle game for Android and iOS mobile devices. It was first released in 2016 by developer Martin Magni and quickly gained a cult following for its minimalist yet charming graphics and challenging mechanical puzzles.
In the game, players guide a cute ambling robot through increasingly complex levels by manipulating the mechanical landscape. Each level is a 3D mechanical diorama featuring moving parts, buttons, levers, and traps. To solve the puzzles and guide the robot to the goal, players can rotate the level, move individual parts, and even flip the entire landscape upside-down and sideways.
With over 50 handcrafted levels of intricate steampunk machinery, Mekorama excels at elegant puzzle design. The levels start out simple but soon layer mechanics on top of each other to provide hours of head-scratching moments. Solving a tricky puzzle by finding just the right sequence of moves is immensely satisfying.
Despite its mechanical complexity, Mekorama features a minimalist, low-poly visual style that is both visually striking and perfectly optimized for mobile devices. The cute ambling robot at the heart of each puzzle also lends the game a friendly, approachable quality. This combination of depth and accessibility is why Mekorama continues to have a passionate fan base many years after its initial launch.
