What is Pokémon Island?
Pokémon Island is a free-to-play, fan-made multiplayer online RPG set in the Pokémon universe. Developed independently using Unity, Pokémon Island allows players to explore lush islands teeming with Pokémon, battle other trainers, and interact within a vibrant online community.
After customizing their own unique character and starter Pokémon, players set out to discover new islands where they can catch a wide variety of Pokémon including many fan favorites. Battles operate on a real-time basis, with players directly controlling their Pokémon's moves. Defeating wild Pokémon and completing quests for NPCs allows your Pokémon to gain experience and level up.
In addition to battling and catching Pokémon, players can decorate their own personal island home, collect furniture, and invite friends over to hang out. There are also minigames like fishing and bug catching contests to enjoy. Seasonal events occur often, introducing limited-time gameplay experiences and special collectible items.
