The game is set in Japan during the Edo period. The player takes control of a team of deadly specialists, tasked with carrying out dangerous missions behind enemy lines. The specialist team consists of 5 unique characters:
- Mugen: A strong fighter and bodyguard
- Aiko: An expert sniper equipped with a musket
- Hayato: An agile ninja adept at distraction and infiltration
- Yuki: A stealthy thief and lockpick
- Takuma: An elder samurai who can lure enemies into traps
Gameplay involves utilizing your team's unique skills to infiltrate enemy compounds, gather intelligence, sabotage infrastructure, and assassinate targets - all while remaining undetected. Missions feature emergent gameplay, giving players freedom in approach. Environments are interactive with traps, hiding spots, distractions, etc. to aid undetected traversal.
