What is SVim?

sVim is a Vim plugin created to make Vim more user-friendly for those just starting out with the editor. It adds various features on top of regular Vim such as:

  • Mouse support for scrolling, resizing windows, and using menu options
  • Scrollbars on windows
  • Simplified key bindings - navigation keys work as expected out of the box
  • Extensive menus and toolbar for access to common commands
  • Support for common GUI keyboard shortcuts like copy/paste
  • Session support to save/restore window layouts
  • Integrates with other plugins like NERDTree file explorer
