Vespucci: Open-Source IDE for Building Knowledge Graphs

An open-source cross-platform IDE and editor for creating, editing, and publishing semantic data as Linked Data or RDF graphs with features like graph visualization, SPARQL querying and integration with data sources and triple stores.

What is Vespucci?

Vespucci is a free and open-source knowledge graph editor and IDE for building semantic graphs and publishing Linked Data. It supports the full lifecycle of semantic data modeling, from early prototyping to final deployment of knowledge graphs.

With Vespucci, users can visually create RDF graphs, design ontologies with the built-in ontology editor, import data from CSV and other formats, run SPARQL queries, and export knowledge graphs as standard RDF serializations like RDF/XML, NTriples, Turtle, etc. It connects to triple stores like GraphDB for storage and offers features for publishing Linked Data to an integrated Pubby linked data server.

It runs on Windows, Mac and Linux and offers a modern tabbed interface for working with multiple graphs simultaneously. The graph canvas allows rearrangement and visualization of nodes/relationships for model design. Vespucci also enables enrichment of graphs with metadata, labels, descriptions and user-defined shapes.

Key features include:
- Intuitive visual graph and ontology editing
- Import/export RDF graphs from files and triplestores
- SPARQL query editor with syntax highlighting
- Pubby linked data server integration
- Graph analysis features like statistics and validation
- Collaboration features like change tracking and annotations

With its rich feature set for knowledge graphers and lightweight footprint, Vespucci provides a compelling open alternative to proprietary graph modeling and Linked Data tools.
