Tracks outdoor activities like running, cycling and hiking using Suunto devices, analyzes performance data, connects with other athletes, and shares adventures.
Movescount is a sports and activity tracking platform developed by Finnish company Suunto in 2010. It is designed to be used in conjunction with Suunto's line of sports watches and dive computers to log and analyze sports activities.
Users can create a free Movescount account to which they can sync and upload data from their Suunto device via USB or Bluetooth. This includes activity details like duration, distance, speed, heart rate, calories burned and more for dozens of sport modes including running, cycling, swimming, hiking, skiing and triathlons. The platform then provides tools to visualize progress over time through graphs and maps.
Key features of Movescount include:
An online community component allows Movescount users to connect with each other for inspiration and motivation. Users can share their activities publicly, compare performance using a global heatmap of all activities, participate in photo and story contests and join groups focused on specific sports or training topics.
In 2020, Suunto announced movescount.com would be sunset and they transitioned the platform's functionality into the Suunto mobile app instead. The Suunto app provides the same sports tracking and analysis capabilities previously found on movescount.com.
