What is Adventures of Mana?
Adventures of Mana is a full 3D remake of the 1991 Game Boy game Final Fantasy Adventure, which was the first entry in the Mana video game series. Originally released in Japan as Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden (which translates to Final Fantasy Adventure), the game was one of the first action RPGs ever made.
The remake features completely redone 3D graphics that still maintain the top-down perspective of the original. The soundtrack has been rearranged but includes many of the memorable songs from the Game Boy version. The core gameplay remains the same as a story-driven action RPG, with players taking control of the hero as he battles monsters, explores dungeons, and unlocks new gear and abilities on his quest to prevent the forces of evil from seizing control of the Mana Tree.
While faithful to the original, Adventures of Mana also incorporates various quality of life changes such as quick saves, adjustable difficulty levels, and gameplay tweaks to modernize the combat. It provides a more accessible way for fans to experience this classic and foundational entry in the iconic Mana franchise.
