What is CHRONO TRIGGER?
Chrono Trigger is widely considered one of the greatest video games of all time. Originally released for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System in 1995, it's a Japanese role-playing game developed by Square (now Square Enix) with a dream team of creators including Hironobu Sakaguchi, Yuji Horii, and Akira Toriyama.
The game features an epic time travel story following a group of heroes as they journey across different eras from prehistoric times to a post-apocalyptic future. The main protagonist is Crono, a courageous young man who finds himself pulled into an incredible adventure when he and his friends accidentally discover time travel capabilities.
Chrono Trigger is renowned for its highly innovative combat and gameplay features. It uses Square's Active Time Battle system, with some clever twists that make battles more strategic and engaging. Players can combine special techniques to create even more powerful moves. The ability to travel through time also leads to some incredibly inventive dungeons.
