What is Bloodline Champions?

Bloodline Champions is a free-to-play, multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game developed by Stunlock Studios and originally released in 2011. The game features a variety of characters called bloodlines that each have their own unique abilities and playstyles.

Players form teams of up to 3 bloodlines and compete in fast-paced, team-based battles across a variety of maps and game modes. The goal is to work together, leverage your bloodline's strengths, and defeat the members of the opposing team.

Unlike traditional MOBA games like League of Legends or DOTA 2, Bloodline Champions emphasizes skillshot-based combat and reduced reliance on elements like farming, items, and lanes. Matches are usually quite quick, lasting around 5-10 minutes.

There are currently 16 unique bloodlines to choose from, falling into common MOBA archetypes like tanks, damage dealers, healers, and crowd control specialists. Each bloodline has 6 abilities unlocked as the match progresses.

Standard game modes include 3v3 Arena battles where the goal is to eliminate the enemy team and 5v5 Capture-and-Hold where teams fight to control designated points on the map.

Although no longer supported with major updates, Bloodline Champions maintains an active playerbase to this day thanks to its unique take on competitive, team-based multiplayer battles.
