What is GEDA Project?
The gEDA Project is a full GPL'd suite of Electronic Design Automation tools that are used for electrical circuit design, schematic capture, simulation, prototyping, and production. gEDA uses an open file format and aims to be a free alternative to proprietary EDA suites like Cadence or OrCAD.
gEDA includes applications for schematic capture, PCB layout, netlisting into over 20 netlist formats, waveform viewing and capture, Gerber file generation and viewing, Spice and Ngspice simulation, and more. The suite includes tools for many stages of the electronic design process from concept to finished product.
