What is SimCity BuildIt?
SimCity BuildIt is a mobile city-building game developed by TrackTwenty and published by Electronic Arts in 2014. As the mayor, players are tasked with designing, building, and managing their own custom metropolis.
In SimCity BuildIt, players zone residential, commercial, and industrial areas to attract Sim citizens. As the population grows, players must provide key services like power, water, sewage, waste management, police, fire, health, and transportation. Players can also build specializations like Education, Gambling, Entertainment, Beach, Mountain, and Omega to boost population and revenue.
To fund city expansion, players collect taxes from buildings and can trade resources on the Global Trade HQ to buy hard to obtain items. Disasters like earthquakes, tornadoes, and meteor strikes can strike cities and must be quickly addressed to avoid population loss.
There are frequently special seasonal events and mayor contest challenges that award new unlocks upon completion. The goal is to earn Golden Keys and Simoleons to continue growing and beautifying your city with iconic landmarks and unique architectures.
