What is Etebase?
Etebase is an open source, end-to-end encrypted personal information manager focused on privacy. Unlike other options, Etebase ensures that only users have access to their data - no one else, including Etebase developers, can read it.
Users can utilize Etebase to store and organize contacts, calendars, tasks, notes, bookmarks and more. All data is encrypted locally on users' devices before syncing between their apps and devices. The encryption keys never leave user devices and are not accessible to anyone else.
Some key features of Etebase include:
- End-to-end encryption ensuring data privacy and security
- Open source code enabling transparency and external review
- No required logins or accounts - completely anonymous if the user desires
- Apps for major platforms like iOS, Android, Windows, Mac and Linux to sync between devices
- Sync either directly device-to-device or via EteSync secure servers paid for by the user
Etebase is designed from the ground up with privacy as the main priority. It gives users control over their sensitive personal data. And it aims to provide all the convenience expected from a modern sync and backup service for contacts, calendars and more - but without compromising privacy and security.
