What is Habitica?
Habitica is a habit building and productivity web/mobile application that treats your real life like a game. Users create an avatar and level it up by completing tasks and habits in real life. Habits are repeated behaviors like going to the gym, tasks are one-off to-do items, and there are also dailies for repeating daily tasks.
As you complete tasks and build streaks, you earn gold, experience points, and other rewards to customise your avatar, pets, mount, and equipment. But if you miss habits or let dailies build up, you lose health and your avatar suffers damage. This uses gamification to motivate you through rewards and consequences.
There are also social elements like parties where group members motivate each other, and guilds that can complete group challenges together.
