What is Wizard101?
Wizard101 is a free-to-play fantasy MMORPG designed for children and families by KingsIsle Entertainment. Released in 2008, the game allows players to create a customized wizard character and explore magical worlds full of quests, spells, enemies to battle, pets, mounts, houses to decorate, and more.
In Wizard101, players journey through worlds inspired by mythology and magic, such as Wizard City, Krokotopia, Marleybone, Mooshu, Dragonspyre, and many others. Each world has its own storyline and themes. The game features a unique combat system that is turn-based and utilizes a deck of cards that determine the spells and attacks a wizard can cast.
Players can take on main storyline quests or side quests, battle enemies and bosses in instance dungeons, farm for better gear, play mini games like pet training or gardening to grow magical plants and crafting reagents, decorate their wizard house, and interact with millions of other players in the spiral. Members get full access to all premium areas and content.
