A secure password manager for storing sensitive information in an encrypted database protected by a single master password, offering a simple and convenient way to manage passwords and login credentials.
KeePass is a free, open source, light-weight and easy-to-use password manager for Windows, Linux and macOS. It allows users to securely store all of their passwords and other sensitive information like credit card numbers, PINs, TANs, notes and attachments in one heavily encrypted database, locked with one master key.
KeePass uses the industry standard AES (alias Rijndael) encryption algorithm with a key size of 256 bits, combined with random key transformations to protect user passwords. The KeePass database is encrypted and decrypted transparently on-the-fly, keeping the decrypted data only temporarily in memory. The master key, which unlocks the entire database, is protected with key transformation algorithms to guard against dictionary and brute force attacks.
